The Iranian Horse was for long considered as one of the best and rarest horses in the world, and its genes have been linked to many champions around the world. A lot of research has been carried out on this subject in Iran and in many Universities around the world to track the ancestor to much of the modern breeds back to Persia, and today the research still continues.
No matter what the outcome of these research are, the Pure bred Iranian horse from different parts of Iran, including Khuzestan (Arab), Turkmen and the Caspian, deserve all efforts directed at their preservation.
The Iranian Horse Show will be the largest event of its kind to be ever held in Iran, with over 80 horses on display, and is aimed at promoting the breeding and preservation of pure Iranian Horses, in order to once again shine light on this very important and historical heritage of Iran.
